Nepal Prayer Trip
Tearfund UK is running a two-week prayer trip to visit partners in Nepal in April 2012. With a focus on encouraging and being encouraged through prayer, this trip builds on the successful visit run by the Transform team earlier this year.
From 31st March - 14th April, participants will be welcomed by three Tearfund partners in Nepal: INF (International Nepal Fellowship) based in Pokhara, UMN (United Mission to Nepal) in Kathmandu, and Sagoal, one of Tearfund's Connected Church partners.
Tearfund's Global Prayer Poverty Movement seeks to unite people in praying for an end to poverty, and our 2012 trip gives UK supporters an opportunity to link with partners overseas in person. The team will explore difference ways of praying through attending prayer meetings and church services with the partners. They will also have opportunities (amongst other things) to visit an INF hospital and health clinics, spend time with a Created fair trade producer, and meet with emerging young Christian leaders, whilst travelling through beautiful Nepali landscapes. The experience of being challenged and encouraged by the incredible way that God is working in and through the Nepali Church will make for a very special trip.
Please follow the links to view more details about the trip, to complete an online application form, and to visit the Transform website.
The Tearfund prayer trip is designed for UK Christians aged 25 and over (although younger applicants may also be accepted). The trip will start on 31st March 2012 and will finish a fortnight later on 14th April. The cost is £900 [excluding flights and visa costs].
The deadline for applications is 1st December. Applicants need to be able to attend an orientation day on 14th - 15th January 2012 (at Oakwood Youth Challenge, Wokingham). Please do get in contact with Transform directly if you have any questions.
